Cream Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Look-Alike Contest Tonight at Grimey's

I say just give the prize to Chris Crofton now, but if you think you've got an Oldhamesque mug, head on down to Grimey's tonight for one of those listening party things (Oldham's got a new album under the B "P" B moniker, called Beware. It's a fitting title, because my copy has a big ol' sticker on the front talking about how the CD sounds fucked-up on purpose in order to "discourage wholesale copying and unlimited online dissemination." Furthermore, it says "YOU'RE FONDLING A WATERMARKED DISC." My basic policy is that when shit comes with warnings like that, I heed them. Thus, I haven't listened to the album. Anyway:

Bonnie Prince Billy aka Will Oldham has a new album out on March 17th called "Beware" and you can be the first on your block to own a copy. Join us for our next midnight sale party on Monday night, March 16th at 11PM and pick it up on vinyl or CD and, if you look particularly like Mr. Oldham, you might win a sweet prize pack from Drag City. While you're here you can also grab the new ones from Black Joe Lewis, Les Claypool, Nick Lowe's new career-spanning best of and some other nice things.

Seriously. Bonnie "Prince" Billy plays The Belcourt June 10.

As per the video, makin dat ass clap on a well-equipped tractor (or nearby skid loader in the event a tractor is unavailable) must be part of the contest.
