  • Take a good look at the cowboy, 'cause this is the last week you'll be seeing him.

It's Friday the 13th once again, and the cowboy is back to bring us all tidings of good weekending. Yes, this is the last week the cowboy will make an appearance, so if you have any suggestions for a future Round-Up image/video, let me know in the comments. Who knows? Maybe you can finally put that Photoshopped image of you and Taylor Swift on a Jet Ski to use. Now, down to business:

D. Striker's RR Bash/Hands Down Eugene Double EP Release feat. The Ants at The 5 Spot. In case you missed Striker's performance last month, here you've got a rare opportunity to check him out again. Not to mention the fact that you can pick up copies of Hands Down's White Stone and Black Witch while you're there. if you still haven't.

How I Became the Bomb's Vol. III: They Can What It Seems They Cannot Release feat. Millionaire Magicians, Eureka Gold & Deastro at Mercy Lounge. Hope you remembered to purchase your tickets for $1, because I totally forgot. I'm hoping Big Bobby will hook me up. Good lookin' out, Big Bob!

Downstairs at the Cannery, you've got The Goon 10th Anniversary Party feat. The Protomen, Ghoultown & Calabrese. Ridley says The Goon's gonna be a David Fincher movie. Sweet!

King Khan and the Shrines w/Golden Triangles & The Deep Vibration at Exit/In. Not that I have to tell any of you hipster bastards that King Khan is playing.

The last night of Justin Townes Earle's residency at The Basement. Joshua Black Wilkins opens this one.

You've also got Felix Cartal w/Justin Kase, Chris Step & Anok at 12th & Porter and 84001 w/See Gone See & more at Springwater. Damn. That is one hell of a Friday night, my friends. Good one for the cowboy to go out on. Let us know what we've missed.

I love the cowboy. Don't know why, but I do.

You can't decide between Proto's, etc. at Cannery and HIBTB, EGold, etc. at Mercy? Here's your solution:
Protos are going on earlier downstairs. HIBTB and EGold are going on later upstairs. If you go to the show downstairs, you can save a $2 off the cover upstairs with paid admission downstairs.

Or just go to the 5 Spot and give Moody's beard a tug and make a wish. It could be your lucky day.

D., tugging on that beard can be pretty dangerous. I found a raccoon in there once. And yes, it was stoned.

I'm apologizing via the scene blog, lameee as, for not coming to the Eureka Gold show tonight. The Vandy bubble strikes again.
