It seems like just yesterday it was 80 degrees. I call bullshit. If you missed last night's wedding celebration at Mercy Lounge, then all I can say is you probably weren't there. Here's to Tracy, Lance, love and Series of Sneaks on vinyl.
* Jay Leo Phillips (of Tennessee State Rock Song-nominated Apollo Up!) reports from the road that the bus in which he and his ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead bandmates were traveling was hit by a truck while en route to SLC. Yikes. "Everyone is ok, but our bus and trailer are not," he says via the microblogging platform with the stupid name. Cliff Burton jokes are inappropriate but perhaps inevitable.
* YK Records debuted yesterday with the release of Pancho Chumley, by Uncle Skeleton. It's available in a limited edition (250) CD or as a free download. More info over at yewknee.
* Lisa Hannigan, whose voice may be familiar to you with a side of (Damien) Rice, plays at Grimey's today at 6 p.m., then at The Belcourt at 8 p.m. with The Low Anthem.
