The 12th & Porter "look."
We've established that
everyone's ridiculously hot at rock shows in Nashville, and we've also established how ridiculously hot people seem to remember all the details except the relevant ones when they recall the hot people they've encountered and try to reach out to them on Craigslist. But these two posts (in one week, no less!) from 12th & Porter prove what we've always known to be true about the people who go to 12th and Porter: They call shows 'gigs' and they have a maddening inability to recall relevant details. I kid! That's true of everyone at every club in this town.
For instance,
Lonely Heart #1 reminds you (a lady) that on Wednesday night, "You said you were a huge fan of the headliner but wanted to check out the opener...Contact me if this sounds like you." Uh, that
sounds like everyone at the club who stuck around for the whole show. Good luck, buddy.
We talked at a gig at 12th and Porter last Wednesday night. You said you were a huge fan of the headliner but wanted to check out the opener. Wishing I had asked for your number. Contact me if this sounds like you.
Lonely Heart #2 distinguishes himself by using more words to say even less. He was kickin' it at 12th & Peehole on Friday night, and guess what? You were there. And you were gorgeous, as he avoids mincing words when he writes, "I thought you were gorgeous maybe you think the same." Maybe you think he's gorgeous too? Or maybe you think you're gorgeous too? Basically, if you're into him or yourself, and you're cool with the fact that he didn't think twice about you until later (bad sign, ladies!), then give ol' burning heart a chance.
You were there last night. I first saw you outside and thought nothing about it, figured you had a boyfriend. I know we saw each other, but due to being there with someone I could not get away. You were with a guy and girl. I thought you were gorgeous maybe you think the same. I know this is a long shot but you never know. If you think it is you e-mail me we will see where it goes!
