Jumping on this upcoming weekend's already-crowded local-music-party-train are KinderCastle, who will be releasing their new EP Feb. 28 at Mercy Lounge. In addition to bringing us their funkily lush arrangements and general ELO-ness, the 'Castle will also be letting 100 200 people in for free. Just because!
Update: According to the folks at Mercy Lounge, KinderCastle are extending their guest list to include an additional 100 people! The cut-off is Feb. 26 at midnight. Same rules still apply (i.e. no rulez! Just message the dudes).
Taking advantage of what I'm told is a "very liberal guest list," KinderCastle are leaving it to you to tell them why you should get in for free. Just go here and drop them a line explaining why it is you're worthy of a spot on the list. I recommend something along the lines of "By that time on Saturday night I'm likely to have spent all of my singles down at the Crazy Horse, and I'll need a safe place to come down. Plus, KinderCastle's warm string and horn arrangements always pull me right out of my K-hole." Heypenny & The Young Republic open. Check out KinderCastle's performance of "donkey Hote" at Mercy Lounge this past December after the jump.
