Seems the jury is still out on both the definition of the Nashville electronic scene and whether or not it sucks, but making a strong case in its favor tonight is another aural and visual spectacle from Jensen Sportag at the Mercy Lounge. The duo will be playing their set simultanously alongside one-man terror cell Makeup and Vanity Set, as well as Music City's newest electro twosome Fly Golden Eagles. Set up on the floor in a round robin style jam session, each band will trade off songs in one continuous stream of rock with no downtime, setup changes, or spaces between songs. The stage will be reserved for visual projections, probably not unlike those eyeball assaults usually reserved for Club Sportag.

If you haven't seen Fly Golden Eagle, you need to. Come out tonight. Those guys are new to the scene and were pretty great the one time I saw live. Also, the author of the Nashville Nights blog (http://nashvillenights.blogspot.com/) will be DJing after the menage a trois. His blog is pretty great, so I imagine his DJ set will be too.
