So last week we informed you of Wanda Jackson's upcoming appearance at The 5 Spot (Tuesday, Feb. 17). Mrs. Jackson's publicist subsequently contacted us offering an interview with the rock 'n' roll legend. The offer wasn't made in time for the interview to make this week's print addition of The Scene, however. So we've settled on the next best thing: a Q&A for the Cream. I'm scheduled to do a phoner with Mrs. Jackson at 4:30 this afternoon, and I thought it would be fun to post and see if any readers have questions for the 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. You've got exactly four hours. Post any questions in the comments section. Be nice!
Update: Read the interview here.

Ask her how honored she was that the New York Times used her first name in a crossword puzzle last week.
Aask her if Miley Cyrus will join her on stage for "Fujiyama Mama."
YES. ASK HER.
also, get a timer ready then ask her about elvis. bets will be taken on how long the answer lasts.
How about:
• What it was like to duet with Elvis Costello, and how it feels to have him as a raging fan?
• How she came back to singing rock and roll from being strictly a Christian artist?
• Has she been recording lately? If so, what's the lowdown?
• Who manufactures that fabulous pink guitar she plays?
• Would she ever consider recording with Jerry Lee Lewis or Ray Price?
• Who does her hair?
• Ask her about her experiences back in the day with one of the first integrated bands.
• ...and whether the story about the Grand Ole Opry and being forced to wear a jacket over her spaghetti straps is really true!
• I'd also be curious to know what she'd like to be remembered for.
