Plenty going on this week's dead tree edition of the Nashville Scene.

Jennifer O'Connor's latest, Here With Me, may seem sad, but she didn't mean to fool you. (Playing Tuesday, 10th at The End w/Haley Bonar and Caitlin Rose.)

Folk singer Otis Gibbs walks the line on his latest. (Playing 7 p.m. Thursday, 5th at The Basement w/Earl Bud Lee.)

The Basement celebrates its four-year anniversary with a bash feat. Howlies, The Ettes, Miles Nielsen, Jason Jones and the Shelby Street Revival, Madi Diaz, Those Darlins and Ricky Young. (Friday, 6th at The Basement.)

Benefit for bassist Chris Kent feat. Lorrie Morgan, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie & Jesse Whitley (as in, son of Keith Whitley). Kent has played with everyone from Stevie Wonder to Dizzy Gillespie. (Thursday, 5th at The Cannery Ballroom.)

The Blair String Quartet plays Beethoven and Mendelssohn. Roll over, McCartney! (Friday, 6th at Ingram Hall, Blair School of Music.)

In The Spin: AC/DC, Silver Jews' final show, Lucero and more.

Critics' Picks on The Long Players' celebration of Aretha Franklin's I Never Loved A Man the Way I Love You, Sarah Siskind, Jack and more. Don't forget the Save the Jazz benefit tonight!
