So this weekend Bruce Springsteen's playing a show that apparently has some sort of football event scheduled around it. This is what they tell me, anyhow. If you're like me, you use the few hours when everyone's watching the Super Bowl to do your winter looting and vandalism. If you need me, I'll be stealin' iPods and spray-painting dicks on the town water tower. Here's what's up for Friday, Jan. 30:
Cavalcade of Cock (Dave Cloud's latest musical incarnation) w/The Tits, Werewolf Killers & Astral Queen at Springwater. I could really exercise my dirty pun muscle here and make some joke about putting all that Cock between The Tits and A. Queen or something like that, but would the effort truly be worth it? Any way you slice it, this is the most Springwater-y show at the Springwater I've seen in a hot minute.
Updated: We Were the States w/Kindergarten Circus & The Lake at Vine Street in Murfreesboro. If Tyler Coppage is quitting Shoot the Mountain but staying on full-time with WWTS, I'm expecting a massive surge of energetic shows from these dudes. The bar has been set.
Lucero w/Dexateens at Mercy Lounge. Lee Stabert digs 'em. Maybe you should, too.
You're also lookin' at Dirty Dozen Brass Band w/The Levees at Exit/In, Sixty Nine Tribe w/The Bunnies at Windows and Off the Wagon at Station Inn. Don't say I didn't give you options, people. Tune in tomorrow for a preview of Saturday night's sundry options.
