Whatchya doin' for lunch today? Local Beatles cover band pays tribute to the mop-tops' final show at noon. I know I've been advocating more free outdoor concerts in Nashville, and I suppose this counts.

Take it away, Jack:

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Beatles' last live performance (atop Apple Records' London headquarters), local Fab Four tribute band The WannaBeatles will play on top of Rippy's nightclub on Lower Broadway at exactly noon, the same time their idols did. (Actually, if they wanted to be super-authentic, they'd account for the time difference and do the show at 6 a.m., but that's a minor quibble.) Access to Rippy's rooftop patio will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the show can be viewed at street-level from the corner of Fifth and Broadway.

Hopefully it won't be too cold for the instruments to stay in tune.
