We brought you word of The Glib's last show/CD release at The Basement Jan. 24, and The Spin can tell you it went off without a hitch. Caitlin Rose and several members of Eureka Gold, including the Scene's very own Adam Gold, joined in on the vocals to "Scrotality" (above). Lead singer Joe Mormann lambasted targets deserving and undeserving, and, in the clip following the jump, not-so-hesitantly divulged the identity of an unknowing muse. God bless those drunken miscreants known as The Glib, and may they rest in peace.

"Who?"
They are friends of Cream writers. What else would they be talking about on this blog? It doesn't matter that this band didn't do shit in the 3 weeks that they were together.
Nashville Cream = vehicle for "local music critics" to shamelessly plug their friends' bands. duh!
The Glib were around for a while - at least 2 years. They were one the best bands in Nashville but never really got the attention they deserved. Of any of the bands (including the headliners) at NBN last year they played the tightest set I saw. I encourage everyone to get a copy of their record if possible.
lay off, jimmy. you might be right about the cream. don't know, don't care.
but, what do you know about these guys? not much, i'm sure.
Sucks that they won't write about your band, eh Jimmy?
No one gives a flying fuck about you, Jimmy, or your fucking chicken shack. Give it up dude. You blow. The Glib were one of the best bands in town for the past couple years, and you were too busy crying at home on your computer. Way to miss out, dick.
I'm going to miss those drunk assholes in The Glib.
Well the Glib is the best band in the whole goddamn world...or at least John Smythe was probably the best bass player in Nashville. Their farewell show was great although it felt like a funeral.
The cover of "Goodbye Horses" was cool as hell! They'll be missed.
Truthfully, I couldn't even make it through one of those songs in the videos. Maybe if I was drunk it would seem interesting.
Mark P, If you want to hear better quality versions of these songs just check out their myspace page. www.myspace.com/theglib
They were a cool band; you should check it out.
I only saw this band once a couple years ago and thought they were alright. The tracks on their MySpace page are awesome and make me wish I had paid closer attention when they were around.
Jimmy, why would they need to shamelessly plug a band that just disbanded?
Don't be dumb.
That show was awesome.
