So for anyone who won't be either cruisin' up the Highway to Hell at the Sommet Center or gettin' freaky in a cave with some Jews this Saturday, there is one more strange combo of venue and artist on Jan. 31 you might be interested in: Smoke the Bowl Too at Rocketown feat. JEff the Bro'hood, MEEMAW and Kintaro. Skunkape and Brainwreck (remember them from our bad band names post?) will also be droppin' in and maybe even playin' some noggles at this grind-tastic all-ages event.

Have your 'rents drop you off around 6ish. There will also be free grindage. The show takes place in the skatepark bowl, so bring your deck, but no acid drops off of Kintaro's amps, bros! And who knows? If kids get worked up enough, maybe there'll be some radical spin-kicks and serious moshin' (as seen after the jump).

Thanks for the fap vid!
Nothing gets me hotter than watching a room full of sweaty shirtless twinks fight dance to hardcore.
this would be an ideal soundtrack to a power bottom session!
well, back to smoking pipes, stroking my beard, and making youtubes.
ciao!

No, no. I'm pretty sure these are the deleted scenes from 'Gummo'.

Fuck yes! Is every lame metal/hardcore show at Rocketown like this? I mean is this what's expected now?

I started watching it on mute and when there's not too many people in the pit it reminded me of ballet lessons in the first grade. In the middle it was like very aggressive interpretive dance. At the end it just reminded me of my scariest zombie dreams and I had to turn it off.

Those of you who have never "skanked" at a metal show, should throw the first stone.

First off, this video has nothing to do with the bands playing at RKTWN, or however you spell it.
Second, JEFF The Brotherhood should be closing the show at the Sommet Center because they are the def of rock.
Third, the bands on the Smoke The Bowl show are not metal/hardcore. At all. Not even close.

Sorry Sara, but Brainwreck IS a hardcore band, although they have much more to do with the 80s version of that music as opposed to the very awful modern metalcore variety. Hell, they played a Minor Threat song at the show we played with them and I was impressed that a band that young had done their homework. Good for them.

Brainwreck is pretty good.
