Even if you don't know him by name, you've probably seen some of Andrew Vastagh's work around town. Or you may know him by his nom d'arte, Boss Construct. Either way, OMG Posters! has an interview with him over at their site.

Vastagh's done a lot of cool posters--including the one we gave away at last year's Cream anniversary party. (He also did the Scene cover for Tracy's "Not Playing Here" story, as well as the cover of our NBN Music Manual insert.) Consider us fans, for sure.

What does the future hold for the Boss?

I'm doing the Nashville date for the AC Newman tour series. Blitzen Trapper, too. I'm doing all the branding for Next Big Nashville this year. It's sort of like a regional showcase / industry / excuse to party thing that happens over the course of a long weekend in September. It'll be a big one. Lots of eyeballs on it so I gotta make it fresh. This is serious business.

So there you go. Looking forward to what he brings to the visual identity of NBN. Thanks, yewknee, for the heads-up.

Andy is the one of the 3 cool people on GigPosters. The order goes like this:
1. Me
2(tie). Andy
2(tie). Connie from Print Mafia
4. Everyone else sucks.
