In this increasingly brutal economic climate, a good bargain is getting harder and harder to find. And who has the time to look for deals when you're out there busting your hump for another paycheck?

Well, I do. Which is why I'll continue to report the best local rock-related deals and steals I catch wind of.

Local love-to-be-hated, self-described "soul punk" outfit The Armed Forces are feeling the crunch as much as anyone, which is why tonight, during their show at The End with Eastern Block and Nite Nite, they're having an "everything must go" sale on all the band's merch. Taking it a step beyond Radiohead's "name your own price for our album," The Forces are accepting any amount of cash for any and all merch they have available. All fundage raised will go toward recording their new album, slated to be produced by Ryan Truso of Mean Tambourines.

please do not desecrate the Minutemen with your lack of inspiration. Use the Kinks instead.
