If you've been following my thread regarding The 5 Spot's schedule this week, then you've noticed there is some confusion as to the cover for Monday night's weekly Keep on Move'n Dance Party. It is usually free, however, The 5 Spot's email to The Scene has it listed as $3--which is more than likely erroneous. One thing I do know for sure: That all-out sock hop is going down tomorrow night (Friday, 23rd) for a whopping $5. If the event ends up being even half as cool as the poster above then it'll be worth it.

We put $3 on it to keep the crowd down. Everyone that has been coming for the past few months get in for free.

I am amused by this strategy of pretending it's not free to keep the riffraff away. That dance party gets very crowded, & I think they should advertise it as $20 so that only ballers & high-rollers will show up.

Then you can rob them 'cause they're in East Nashville and should know better.

yea, the whole reason the dance party is awesome is cause it's at 5 spot. no bueno with the larger venue, boys and girls.
