From iBush to oPod: What's on Our Leaders' iPods?

Tuesday, as my colleagues and I watched the inauguration, a nagging question plagued me throughout the proceedings, the answer to which dictates just what type of man our Commander-in-Chief truly is: What was on his "Get Pumped" playlist before he approached the podium? Months back, Barack Obama divulged the contents of his iPod. In doing so, he proved to us once and for all that he is just as cool and in touch as we'd all hoped. He likes Stevie Wonder, Howlin' Wolf, Bruce Springsteen, Sheryl Crow (I'll forgive him that one), Jay-Z and Bob Dylan.

What songs was he listening to, though, before that historic speech? "The Times They Are A-Changin'" perhaps? Maybe "Dirt Off Your Shoulder"? Being only the second president to own an iPod, the pressure's on old B.O. to kick it up a notch. For those of you who remember Bush's painfully small but occasionally legitimate iTunes library (some of which may have been downloaded illegally), at least our new prez doesn't openly admit to listening to artists who have campaigned against him. (File under Fogerty, John.) And, though Obama's iPod contents were doubtlessly screened by countless handlers before being "leaked," his choices are nowhere near as painfully transparent as Hillary's. "Hey Jude," "Respect" and "Beautiful Day"? Really?

So all this political iPod talk has got me thinkin': Just what do the local wielders of power listen to on their "Get Pumped" playlists? Hypothetical mixes after the jump.

Sheryl Crow? On Obama's Ipod? Really? I wasn't expecting buyers remorse to set in so soon. I sure know which songs I'd "change" on that playlist. Ron Paul 2012!
