Those of you who keep up with our sister blog Bites probably caught Carrington's post about Alley Cat closing its doors. While shows at the Cat were somewhat few and far between, the place offered pretty sweet occasional patio parties, not to mention DJ sets from a dude named Dave (anyone know his last name?), who spun some of the finest rock 'n' roll, soul and funk vinyl you could ever hear. I'll long cherish the sets I caught from Hans Condor and the dozens upon dozens of chicken sandwiches I ingested while at the Alley Cat.
This also means Justin Kase's upcoming YDK parties at the Cat are now homeless, no? Well whatever the case, Alley Cat will be missed for its shows, its inconsistent but typically good iPod playlists and its fried avocados. RIP, AC.

What are they going to do with all the leftover paprika?
news on ydk is coming. good news hopefully. i'm really upset over the whole thing and it's come as a surprise to everyone involved.
i had also booked a show there on the 30th with french horn rebellion and savior adore with courtney wilder from lcd djing. it was to be the first installment of a monthly live band event. still trying to sort a venue for that as well. any bar owners what to take this on? ha
Now I'll never know the name of that hot waitress with the glasses.
