Mastodon, Neurosis, High on Fire, Boris, 1349, Skeletonwitch, Rwake.... This is perhaps the best metal festival lineup I've ever seen. I've taken road trips to Atlanta to see several of these bands, but all of them together--this is just ridiculous.

It happens Feb. 28 at the Masquerade, noon to midnight, and the tickets are free, which means you'll probably have to line up at the door sometime on the 27th to secure a place inside.

Apparently The Groove is scoring some tickets, presumably to be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis after I secure mine.

More information on the festival is here.
