Cream Calendar Weekend Round-Up: Yes We Did Style

So what's on the table for this, the last weekend of a long, long eight years? Some of the best local bills you could ever hope for. That's what. If you feel like skipping the tunes for some nerd-core comedy stylings, see Mr. Show alum Brian Posehn at Zanies. He's doing multiple sets Friday and Saturday. But for those about to rock, here's what's up:
Friday, Jan. 16:
Mercy Lounge's 666 Celebration feat. How I Became the Bomb, The Protomen, Shoot the Mountain, Eureka Gold, KinderCastle, Hotpipes & The Carter Administration. Friends, this is easily one of the strongest local lineups we've seen since Next Big Nashville.
Wess Floyd and the Daisycutters w/500 Miles to Memphis & Sons of Roswell at The Basement. They're up against some tough competition, but I'm certain folks will be kickin' it strong at The Basement. Folks are always kickin' it strong at The Basement.
Buffalo Clover w/Chris Volpe, The Howling Brothers and The Hardwoods at Springwater.
Saturday, Jan. 17:
The final night of Mercy Lounge's 666 feat. The Features, AutoVaughn, Pico vs. Island Trees, Jeremy Lister, Ricky Young, Elle Macho & Brenn.
Ghostfinger w/Shoot the Mountain & All We Seabees at Exit/In. Busy weekend for STM.
Look What I Did w/Ill Patriot, The Trampskirts & Mother Whale Eyeless at The End.
Sunday, Jan. 18:
Unearth w/Emmure, Impending Doom & Born of Osiris at Rcktwn. For those of you who want to brush up on your spin-kick, bow-throwing and, as Sullivan puts it, "picking up change" hardcore moves.
