Wednesday has arrived, and with the holiday fast approaching it's another relatively sleepy night in Nashville. But don't doze off just yet. KinderCastle will be holding it down at 12th and Porter tonight, and whether you're a "mindless pop hedonist" (like me) or a "heady musicologist" (like me after seven beers), then you should find something to keep your ears occupied. Progress in Color open the blue-eyed soulful proceedings, scheduled to get started at 8 p.m.
Elsewhere around town, the most intriguing band name is probably Kelly Harris and Her Bourbanaire (Family Wash, 8:30 p.m.), and the sickest chops probably have to go to the Steeldrivers (9 p.m. at Station Inn).
