i hope that whoever wins, people aren't as mad at each other as they have been. didn't regan win like, all 50 states? were people as mad at each other back then? as a matter of fact, i'm writing in the ghost of ronald regan on my ballot.

Ah...37206...voting at the Shelby Center! I didn't actually write in Ronald Regan's ghost, by the way, and even if I'd had, it wouldn't have done much good considering I misspelled 'Reagan'. I mean, who knows who Ronald REGAN was, and how qualified his ghost would be to run the country.

People being mad can never stop when the religious right brings such hate and intolerance when it claims to adhere to the philosophy of the opposite.

I live next to the Eakin Elementary site, there were lines around the block this morning. Everybody seemed to be getting along though. I'm thinking I might go grill out after work and sell them freedom brats or something. You know, cash in on this whole thing like a real politician!

Ha. No line at Johnson Elementary School, where I vote. And not just no line, but literally no voters. Just me and the poll workers.

oh yeah. mondale took the home state! my bad. i don't really remember that one. still, even tonight, i don't see a 49 state landslide ever happening again.

I voted in 1980 when Reagan won, and believe me,people were mad then too. The sames goes for 1984. Even if a guy wins 50-55% of the vote in all states, there's a good chance that 45% of the people are pissed about it. It's democracy in action. If you remember, Clinton did pretty well his second term, too, but that didn't make conservatives or evangelicals hate him any less.

And tonight you could probably say there's going to be a bunch of mad people no matter who wins, its such a devisive demographic this time around. Maybe it always is but tonight seems especially crazy...
