We could be like every other publication and tell you to go to this show because the bill is packed with the progeny of Music City greats. Or we could mention how Taylor Swift is playing at the same time and Rose's mother penned a couple of Swift's biggest hits.

But that shit is old hat. You should go because Scruggs does some mean pickin', Earle delivers a heavy dose of thoughtful, traditional country and Rose is sweet as pie and twice as talented. That's right. Talented pie. Plus, word on the street is Rose just might do a highly anticipated cover with the boys of Hammertorch.

Other shows of interest this weekend:

MSTRKRFT w/Justin Kase at Mercy Lounge

MEEMAW w/All We Seabees & more at Agave

Boston Spaceships (Robert Pollard of Guided by Voices) at Mercy Lounge

Big weekend, folks.

And let's not forget All We Seabees, Noot d' Noot, MEEMAW & This Modern Station tonight at Agave. It'll be an experiment in sonic contrast.

Tough call, but I'll likely be at Exit/In.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Uncle Bob tomorrow nite. Brown Submarines is the best album he's released in years.

Can't afford Hatch. Alex Pearson did it and he is just great. Check out familytreedesign.net

I didn't know that is who did the Mitchell's Delicatessen logo, I really dig that. By the way, I was commenting to the fact it's very Hatch-like...didn't mean for it to be a low blow.
Hatch is pricey and hit or miss. When you run 500+ prints a year, you can't hit 'em all.
