Shape-shifting Canadian supergroup Broken Social Scene has just announced the dates of their North American tour, including a stop at Cannery Ballroom on Nov. 18. Those who saw them at Bonnaroo can tell you that, despite an ever-changing touring lineup, they still put on a strong show, complete with a pretty sweet political sing-along.

Tickets are $21 and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. No word on who's opening yet.

Can you imagine how bad the sound is going to be at this show? I saw them at Lollapalooza a few years ago when they had all 15 or so people on stage and you could hear every instrument. Why is the sound always so bad at Cannery? It has stopped me from attending shows there.

this band will have come to town twice now, and played the two venues with the worst sound (sans muse). first shitty hall, now cannery. can you imagine what they would sound like at the ryman? makes me warmish in me loins

Agreed. At NBN it was like listening to a shoegaze album from behind a brick wall.

they also played 12th and Porter with Metric in 2003 and the sound was pretty awesome.

wish i'd fuckin known about that show. despite the weird vibe, it always does sound pretty damn good at 12 & Porter
