Creamtastic New Music From Half of The Features

Mark Bond and Rollum Haas of The Features have posted some new tunes under the name Vovo, and they’re all available for download. Vovo, Bond’s stage name from his De Novo Dahl days, is pretty appropriate considering that a lot of these tunes sound a bit like old DND material—I’m talking pre-Cats and Kittens days. Anyone else have their self-titled EP from back in '03? No? OK. Peep the video from Vovo’s performance at the Lake Fever 8 off 8th a few months back.

You bet your ass I still have the self-titled EP, and I still listen to it. I still think it is some of their best material, and the production is amazing. In fact, I think they still play "Waiting for My Friends" live every now and then.
Speaking of that EP, What about "Ryan Patrick Husman Darrow" and the original "Memphis"? They are pretty great songs as well. Mark's one talented kid. Also, it's great to see and remember Craig Bond(the drummer in the Youtube video) who is Mark's younger brother. He unfortunately was tragically killed in an accident earlier this year. I think it's great that Mark is going ahead with this project and it's really cool that the whole thing (according to the artwork) is dedicated to Craig.

also, DND ought to still play "waiting for my friends" live; it's their best song.
