Creamtastic Getting Paste-y in Nashville

As you likely recall, a while back Paste magazine did their list of coolest record stores in the country. One intrepid Paste reader decided to visit them all, or at least some of them—hard to tell if this feature is still in progress or not—and it turns out that yes, the stores are pretty neat-o.
Our first stop was at Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville, Tenn. The anticipation was overwhelming. We all made bets on which of the five shops would be our favorite. For both Aaron and Jeremy it was Tubbs; mine was The Music Factory in New Orleans. We walked down the main strip in Nashville and made our way to Tubbs. As we walked in, the excitement was palpable.
The excitement isn't really palpable in the guy's description, which is exactly 19 words long (and two of those words are "Cash" and "Jennings"). Read the whole thing here—wow, Grimey's has vinyl!

Why is it that the people with the worst taste in music always take it upon themselves to write about it these days?

I'd like to think that's it, but tons of players have shitty blogs/magazines too. I think it's internet culture that enables this idea that everyone has a right to be heard on any given topic. I mean I'm the living embodiment of it right now as I comment on this blog. Who really cares what the fuck I or the guy that wrote that piece have to say?
I TOTALLY agree with the premise of free expression, but democracy has a definite downside on the internet because it seems like now we're inundated with everyone's half baked ideas as well as the good ones. And most of the time it seems like the bullshit becomes the cream of the crop. Not to stand on a soapbox or anything, it's just been on my mind lately.
I just farted.
