Not that I think anyone really cares but here is the info straight from Knodels mouth:
"funny!
the head is from the oct 1982 omni magazine cover. i assume everyone has a stack of these lying around or at least THEY SHOULD. Clutch or their designer follows this rule...
the road we stuck in there because we felt bad that we were just straight ripping off the omni guy. oh, and that lens flare we added, thank you photoshop 2.5 or whatever we were using.
so maybe they had the same idea that the head should be floating above the road? or perhaps they are huge knodel fans...
