Tonight's 8 off 8th at Mercy Lounge is hosted by Joe Baine Colvert. Let's call him a local music advocate—he works at LakeFever Productions, plays ye olde bass guitar in Stories That Live, hosts a WRVU radio show called Indie Ghetto on Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is one of those all-around rare breeds who actually keeps giving a shit about local music year in and year out. In this town full of cynical burned-out haters, that's somethin'.

Playing in this order are:

Chris Freeman & The Unicorn Horns

Kevin Ferriman

The Modern Station

The Nobility

Tristen

Nite Nite

Cuttlefish

The Glib

9 p.m.; $0.
