How did the Nashville musician get so uptight. No wonder country music sounds so cookie cutter. I can tell you the number of people that I've played with that are great technical musicians and have no creativity. One sound - same old chops - borning.It's music for God's sake not brain surgery. Lighten up! Have some fun. We get paid for playing but it's not a job to use. We just enoy the music.
Yes, it's better to play to a click track and it's pain if the timing is a little off when you don't but so what! At the end of the day you get paid for making music - smile a little!
I guess it all started with an earlier post: Drummers (especially if you're new to town) DO NOT record without a click. That's your reputation on the line.
