Damn, this music sucks!
Just kidding! Jeez, don't get your Birkenstocks in a bundle, hair-farmer!
It's just a joke. Personally, I love psychedelic rock—and most of its tripped-out offspring (jam bands and jazz fusion being the exceptions), and that is why I shed a little paisley tear for the passing of Albert Hoffman. Hoffman discovered LSD, rode white bicycles and inspired some of the longest, strangest trips ever commited to magnetic tape. Hoffman's impact on modern music is undeniable. Case in point:
Pink Floyd - "Interstellar Overdrive"
Hawkwind - "Born to Go" (Live in '72)
Beach Boys - "Good Vibrations"
MC5 - "Black to Comm"
...and so on and so forth.
I'm sure you're all too hip to acknowledge enjoying any of my MOR acid-rock faves, so tell me, what's your favorite record to trip out to dear Cream readers?
