Jon Stewart at The Ryman May 9: 10 p.m. Show Canceled

Originally, Jon Stewart was scheduled to perform two shows on Friday, May 9 at The Ryman. According to a press release we just received, there will now only be one 7:30 p.m. performance due to "unforeseen scheduling conflicts."

10 p.m. show ticketholders can either get refunds at the point of purchase, or exchange tickets at The Ryman box office (by May 4) for the most comparable 7:30 p.m. tickets.

That is promoter talk for "really bad ticket sales." Guess people don't want to pay $80 when they can watch the Daily Show for a few bucks.

Sorry, but the comment about people not paying to see Jon live because they can see the Daily Show for cheap or free is just brainless. That's like saying "why pay to see Dave Chappelle or Dane Cook or [insert name here] when you can see them on TV for free?" Come on. And I just saw the show, and it was packed, and everyone was screaming with joy. So there.
