2. You're not metal enough.
3. They're so proud to be from New Orleans, they wrote a whole record about it.

Add Xiu Xiu to the list of great bands that are on tour, but won't be stopping in Nashville.

Maybe you should become a promoter since you know so many great bands that should come here. After losing your ass on a few guarantees you might see the light.
If these bands are such loosing propositions, why can they find 40+ clubs in other cities willing to book them year after year?
So much for 'Music City USA'...
Other cities don't have as many great local bands playing every night, so their 40+ clubs make money with touring acts.
We are 'Music City USA' because of the local musicians. I see around 20 local bands a week. The majority of them are pretty damn good.
They are not loosing propositions in those cities. Nashville is notorious for having horrible turn outs to shows. It's just not a great place for touring bands to stop never has been and never will be.
