Idolator's Pop 07 results are in, and Nashville makes a showing, if not exactly a stand.
Among the top albums, Jack and Meg top the locals list—no surprise there:
The White Stripes, Icky Thump (17)
Kings of Leon, Because of the Times (102)
The Cherry Blossoms, The Cherry Blossoms (350)
Cortney Tidwell, Don't Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up (460)
Turbo Fruits, Turbo Fruits (618)
Los Straitjackets, Rock en Español Vol. 1 (1064)
Carrie Underwood, Carnival Ride (tied for 1144)
Also not surprisingly, the Stripes are the most visible Nashville act in the poll, rearing their pretty heads in the lists of top artists (33), top tracks—with "Icky Thump" (18) and "Rag and Bone" (81)—and enthusiasm (their score of 16 indicates above-average enthusiasm emanating from the 451 ballots used to compile the results).
Other Nashville tracks that made it include: Cortney Tidwell, "Don't Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up" (Ewan's Objects in Space Remix), in a 77-way tie with "Chocolate Rain," among others, at 188; and Kings of Leon's "Knocked Up" at 263, tied with, among others, Taylor Swift's "Our Song."
And wouldn't you know it—Paramore made the top artists list. (So did Alison Krauss and Keith Urban.) I may have missed a few, but honestly, scrolling through those lists gives me a headache.
