Don't Bring It

Posted by on Wed, Jan 2, 2008 at 11:54 AM

"I am a country girl," Jessica Simpson tells Rolling Stone's Rock & Roll Daily blog. And I thought she was just an insufferable dolt. "I grew up in Texas," she says, "and country music was what I listened to." She's here, of course, working on her new country album. Can't wait. Maybe Tony Romo will start showing up at the Tin Douche with his hat on backwards, too.

Back in the day, Seattle journalists got their heads together and conspired to portray the Emerald City in national publications as a wretched place to live, in order to keep people from moving there. People like Jessica Simpson. So, read this America: Nashville sucks. It's terrible here. It's a "weird market." Slint is from Louisville. Don't move here.

Unless your name is Kelly Clarkson, in which case move next door to cato.
