Ever find yourself looking for something to do on a Saturday night? Well, look no further. This August and September The Renaissance Center's Cybersphere Planetarium will be presenting LASER CREED!

From the press release:

The 8 p.m. offering is Laser Creed, featuring hits of the Florida-based alternative rock band that disbanded in 2004 after selling more than 30 million albums in eight years. Spectacular laser effects fill the CyberSphere's dome as the digital sound system pulsates with Creed hits like Bullets, My Own Prison, My Sacrifice, One, What's This Life For, Higher, Are You Ready, What If, Torn and more.
Tickets for Laser Creed are $6.
(Scene Music Listings Editor Steve Haruch is still reeling from the news. We're hoping deep breaths and some Alka Seltzer will help.)

I had my senior prom at the Renaissance Center, and can safely assure everyone the light shows are HILARIOUS. I remember "Message in a Bottle" had a laser island with a laser palm tree as the main image. They take the lyrics super-literally.

Laser Creed is showing at 8 p.m. and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon at 9 p.m. Saturdays in August and September. Tickets are $6 for each show. The CyberSphere is a 60-foot, 4-story domed theater with one of the world's first 360-degree laser projectors and a 14,000-watt Dolby Digital SurroundSound system.

trashley's seen one show - must be an expert.

I've seen the Wall there; it's definitely worth the $6 -- especially when they do virtual roller coasters and spin the stars.
