Our favorite '60s spaz-rock duo JEFF is back in town from Chicago until the 20th, when they hit the road for a short tour. You can catch them in Nashville tonight (see info after the jump) at a farm in Spring Hill, again on the 9th when they play Local Honey and on the 13th at The End.
A MySpacer's comment from the farm party last night:
"All in all, the night was fun...until JEFF's set was ended abruptly the good, old-fashioned southern way: with a yank of the power chord and scare-tactic gunfire. Needless to say, it worked. That shot-gun blast turned all of our smiling and dancing into whining and protest followed by a mass fleeing of the area in the form of drunk drivers.
Sure, we were sissies about it, but the man exhibited his power quite definitively. Scrambling in the dark of the baryard just to re-plug the lights, our fate was decided. With Springwater miles and minutes away, there was no party sanctuary, no safety to be had for our music and for our fun.
There's nothing less welcoming than gunfire. There's nothing more Rock and Roll than being shut down in its wake.
Can I get an Amen?"
