Tonight is Ladyfest.

Posted By on Wed, Sep 20, 2006 at 1:14 PM

Tonight if you feel like getting out for rock, and you're not in the mood for the indie-fro-kicked out jams of Wolfmother, and you just can't get into the tender snoozerific noodlings of M. Ward, and you couldn't care less about riding the boredommobile that is Americana at every other venue, you might want to head down to the LadyFest Music City benefit at The End to get down on some new loud.

Bands playing:
Six Gun Lullaby
Claire Gonwa
Dirty Holiday
Horse

9pm. $5.

Oh yeah, here's a little more about LadyFest Music City, direct from their Myspace page.

The purpose of LadyFest Music City is to foster, connect and showcase a diverse community of creative women making music. Taking place the weekend of Oct. 20th and 21st, Nashville will be host to it's very first LadyFest! The event highlights some of the very best female artists in Music City, as well as in our regional community. The event showcases these artists at various venues around the city, including some of Nashville's most popular venues, The Exit/In and The End.

LadyFest Music City is an independently run and organized event created by women and for women. This historic event began in Olympia, Washington six years ago in 2000. The spirit of the festival has caught the attention of music communities in cities across the globe. Ladyfest now happens annually in cities such as Brooklyn, Atlanta, Berlin, Dublin, London, Los Angeles, Orlando, Ottawa, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, Toronto, Washington DC and now... Nashville, Tennessee - Music City USA!

I'll post line-ups and show times closer to then, but go ahead and pencil it in.
