The fourth biennial exhibition of the best artwork from the 2012 Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate studio art programs from around the state, the Frist’s Young Tennessee Artists features more than 30 drawings, paintings, photographs and mixed-media works from students attending 18 different Tennessee schools. Want to see the future of our state’s visual arts scene? This is a pretty good place to start. The show is in the Frist Center’s Conte Community Arts Gallery, the hallway display that begins near the Frist Center Cafe. Stop and take a look on your way to see the Carrie Mae Weems retrospective, which closes later this month.
