With the fall art season ending, Nashville art lovers will be best served this week by passing up the galleries and museums to seek hidden treasures in out-of-the-way spaces. If you don't spend half of your life at The Belcourtlike a certain art writer we knowit's easy to forget that the lobby of the movie house doubles as an art galleryone that often offers more than just eye candy while you are waiting in the beer line. Now occupying that space is Women and Music in Field and Forest, a new exhibit of paintings by local artist Steven Knudson. While his Tim Burton-esque narrative style is a familiar one, Knudson uses his eerie imagery to create a tale about a troupe of female musicians lost in spooky-still forest.
