When we went back to a major coastal city (that shall not be named) recently and were catching up with some of our old raver buddies, they were surprised to find that there was so much drum-n-bass popping off in Nashville clubs recently. By their accounts, jungle had more or less evaporated from their scene, replaced almost completely by dubstep and its ilk. This got us wonderinghas Nashville fallen so far behind the curve that we look like we're ahead, or are we actually way ahead of this motherfucker? Not that we give a shit where we are on the curve when theres events like this happeningthree rooms, twenty-something DJs on the undercard and Chicago d'n'b legend Phantom 45 headlining. Though we have to admit we haven't seen Phantom since our tongue ring fell out.
