Weekend Jimmy and the Easy Party

Can We Make a Request for Some Foghat?

Can We Make a Request for Some Foghat?
Despite all the slavish, slobbering praise we foist on their ilk, cover bands are still pretty cheesy, and there's none cheesier than Mercy Lounge's in-house cover experts Weekend Jimmy and the Easy Party. If we recall their inaugural performance this fall correctly, it was an evening filled with wigs, Hawaiian shirts and drunken revelry—but it's tough to recall the details, as we had followed the Easy Party's lead and consumed enough beer to sink Jimmy Buffett's trawler. Weekend Jimmy never gets so high-falutin' that they tackle things like, say, specific albums or a specific band or even a specific decade. They just stick to proven party rockers of the last 50 years and perform them with so much infectious joy and love for the material that you're definitely gonna have to take a cab home.
