We Hear...

Rick Clark, owner of the Red Door drinking establishment on Division Street, is expanding his empire. The late lamented Slow Bar, located across the street from Cafe Margot in East Nashville, will house Clark’s 3 Crow Bar sometime this spring. Also look for another Clark establishment, called Red Door East, to open across the river soon. ♦ The Family Wash is closed for the moment. There was a burglary, plus word is the tax man was snooping around and asking questions. A weekend reopening is in the works. ♦ With Gaylord shedding assets, why not get Gerry House, whose contract will soon end with the reviled and rolled up media conglomerate Clear Channel, to lead a group of investors to buy the Grand Ole Opry? Gerry could host, and lead the show into the next century. ♦ Is Anne Holt moving to Atlanta? Just a rumor. ♦We can officially state knowledge of the fact that Pedro Garcia’s wife has costumes of numerous Walt Disney characters in her closet.
