We all have things to be thankful for this holiday season, but a local painter and art teacher may be more thankful than most. Suzanne Gaudette paints landscapes, portraits and still lifes with bold colors and soft, pleasing lines. She is celebrating the opening of a new gallery space that will serve as a home for her work and the figurative and abstract paintings and sculpture of her students. For the grand opening, Gaudette will go above and beyond the usual wine and crackers, offering a complimentary dinner buffet. There is no charge for the reception, but RSVPs are requested. Contact Gaudette at spotsuzyway@hotmail.com to reserve your spot.
