Vital: Vitalic Noise One-Year anniversary Party

When: Fri., Oct. 28, 10 p.m. 2011
Everybody's favorite local philanthropic blog dance night is gettin’ all Tony Toni Tone up in this piece and being like, “It's our anniversary!” And good for them! The Vitalic Noise crew has been putting together top-notch events for a whole year now, becoming a, um, vital intersection for the city's dance and hip-hop communities, bridging a gap that really shouldn't have been there in the first place. But underneath it all, what they do is throw a real mean party, and this one will be no exception. Left Coast disco-house maestro La Zebra is flying into town to freak the funk, Dee Goodz takes a day off from his tour schedule to bless the hometown crowd, and the newest, weirdest permutation of Nashville's nascent hip-hop community, Dark Sister, takes the stage as well. DS is basically two girls doing their best Three 6 Mafia impression and actually succeeding at making grimy Southern horror rap.
