Trent Dabbs is the savviest sort of indie singer-songwriter. A burnished, even-keeled crooner, he writes serious, sensitive pop ballads, and theyre well-fitted for the moody moments of nighttime TV dramas. At least one song from his new album Your Side Nowan earnest piano number called Inside These Lineshas already made it onto Ghost Whisperer and One Tree Hill. Dabbs is also the ringleader of Ten out of Tennthe revolving package tour featuring rising local actsand that strength-in-numbers approach has proven quite successful. He works in pairs, too, dueting with sweet-voiced female singers like Amy Stroup (their song Odds of Being Alone has also gotten TV placement) and Ashley Monroe (they recorded an EP together a couple of years back). For this particular night, Dabbs has enlisted a fellow pop guy from TOT, Andrew Belle, to open.
