Time.Space.Scale

When: Mondays-Fridays. Continues through Jan. 28 2011

If you don’t think you have the budget to buy original art, remember: You pay for art every year. In a process that calls to mind a Schoolhouse Rock song, your tax dollars turn into a vast array of strange and wonderful things. Time.Space.Scale at the Tennessee Arts Commission will help you get acquainted with some of the new work sponsored by your yearly offerings. Christopher McCollum is the resident designer at Theatre Memphis, and he was the winner of TAC’s fellowship for an individual artist in theatre design. His work has dazzled audiences all over the country. The exhibit’s current stop in Nashville will give you the chance to consider the spatial element of stagecraft. The show closes soon, so act quickly. Get it?
