The Time Turns Elastic feat. Trey Anastasio

Surely the pharmacologically enhanced fans of Anastasio's former band Phish know what happens when time turns elastic, but now Nashvillians have a chance to find out, without the aid of chemicals--or with, your call. Co-composed with Orchestra Nashville composer-in-residence Don Hart, The Time Turns Elastic Project sets Anastasio's singular, offbeat guitar playing against a backdrop of orchestral instruments and should be a treat for folks who yearn to hear something that obliterates the traditional boundaries of classical music. This marks the second such collaboration: In 2004, Anastasio and Orchestra Nashville, then known as Nashville Chamber Orchestra, headlined the final night at Bonnaroo. (We'll trade the four-day-old stench of 80,000 hippies for sore church-pew butt any day of the week.)
