The Performance in Which Hopefully Nothing Happens

When: Sat., May 7, 2 p.m. 2011
There’s always something different on the boards with TPAC’s Family Field Trip Series, which offers classy family-friendly fare designed to entertain all ages — often in very surprising ways. There’s an occasional international bent to these programs, and here we get Theatergroep Max, a Netherlands-based ensemble of “intellectual pranksters with a flair for clowning,” driven by a Monty Python-like sense of absurdity. A nearly empty stage is the setting for the company’s unconventional performance, where a simple human conflict leads to the very essence of drama, offering a string of hilarious, problem-solving challenges along the way. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
