Fresh off their big summer musical
Fiddler on the Roof, Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre tackles a classic of a different kind in this Neil Simon comedy, which is probably the master of one-liners’ most recognizable and beloved work. The setup is epic: Fastidious Felix Unger and slobby Oscar Madison are forced to cohabitate due to their marital problems. Hilarity ensues. Director Martha Wilkinson has gathered what looks like a very able cast, with Charlie Winton and Derek Whittaker in the leads and energetic supporting players on hand as their poker-playing buddies (Jeremy Maxwell, Lane Wright, Daniel Bissell and Alan Smith). Expect an extra dash of comedy from Mia Rose Ernst and Jennifer Richmond as the dotty British Pigeon sisters (both were outstanding in the
Fiddler production).
