Rhubarb Theater Companys second effort under the artistic directorship of Trish Crist is an original play driven by the themes of tolerance and diversity (or the lack thereof). Crist is the coauthor, along with various and sundry Nashvillians (working anonymously) who submitted their own real-life stories on both the ups and downs of the human condition as it exists in Music City. The scenes, 32 in all, are both comic and tragic, and are ultimately pitched to present an existential challenge to the local audience and the city in which they live. Crist directs a cast of both familiar stage vets and newcomers, including Robyn Berg, Phil Brady, Wesley Paine, Diana Holland, Raemona Little Taylor, Mike Baum, Laurel Baker and Shawn Whitsell. The show contains adult language and is intended for mature audiences.
Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Oct. 30. Continues through Nov. 7, 2009
