Can I tell you a secret? Whenever I have some big career-making/breaking event in my life, I show up wearing my GG Allin T-shirt that says “I’m Your Enemy,” and features GG inside a pentagram. It’s an icebreaker — and surprisingly popular among Of Montreal fans, go figure — and usually a pretty good way of warding off the crazies. At least the crazies who don’t like the legendary shit-flinging punk rocker, Satan, or public declarations of deviant thoughts. And though GG — author of such immortal classics as “I Kill Everything I Fuck,” “Legalize Murder” and “Bastard Son of a Loaded Gun” — has been dead for 19 years, his brother and co-conspirator Merle carries on the legacy with The Murder Junkies, continuing the scumfuck tradition well into the new century.
